Mission Statement
The primary mission of the Northern California Fraud Investigators
Association is to:
Provide
a forum for strengthening skills, broadening job knowledge
through training, and advancing the goals of our diverse
membership Coordinate information sharing and assist in
the identification, apprehension, and prosecution of those
responsible for acts of fraud, utilizing networking and
emerging technologies.
Encourage
high professional standards of conduct among investigators
in order to promote a strong anti-fraud environment.
Inform
our membership about changes in pending legislation designed
to reduce the incidence of fraud and improve the quality
of fraud investigation. Associate with a variety of persons
and organizations committed to the investigation, detection,
and deterrence of fraudulent claims, fostering cooperation
between the private sector and law enforcement.
Increase
communication and dialogue between the membership and general
public of the scope of the fraud problem and its potential
solutions in order to raise awareness, and build support
for anti-fraud initiatives.
Promote
the benefit of the membership while serving as an advocate
for those engaged in the prevention of fraud.
